Carlton is a management consultant specializing in leadership dynamics and the development of effective communication strategies. Carlton brings over 18 years of corporate experience to his consulting practice with management experience in Marketing, Sales, Communication, Training and Development, and Medical/Scientific Affairs. His philosophy of leadership and communication stresses the importance of individual contribution to the success of the larger unit.
A recipient of the “Black Achievers in Industry” Award from the Harlem Branch of the YMCA and former Associate Director in U.S. Medical & Scientific Affairs at Merck, Carlton served as an internal consultant and was responsible for identifying and helping to develop and implement partnership strategies with physicians and medical associations that addressed diversity issues. In 2002, he was selected to attend the Senior Business Management Executive Education program at the Mendoza School of Business of Notre Dame University.
A 2005 graduate of the Tuck School of Business Minority Business Executive Program, Carlton currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Minority Supplier Development Council and is the Chairperson of the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) and was recently reappointed Civil Service Commissioner by the Mayor and Legislative Council of Hamden, CT.
